Features
The upHere RGB series case fans are 120mm RGB gaming fans that have premium features for value pricing. In addition to having a rich premium feature set, the upHere case fans provide a superb cooling solution for custom gaming enthusiasts.

The first (most important) feature that stands out to me is the incredibly well-done lighting effects. The upHere RGB 123 fans have great diffusive properties that create a premium-looking aesthetic.

Most budget or value case fans will offer some sort of lighting effects. But, the big challenge is designing a fan that avoids “hot spots”. Hot spots in LED lighting are portions where you can see the actual LED light source. This is a desired lighting effect in some cases, but usually you want a diffuse light pattern. These case fans provide very good LED light diffusion while at an affordable price.
Build Quality
In addition to great lighting effects, the upHere fans are designed for a combination of efficient, low-noise airflow. They featured custom-molded blades that are translucent with a frosted texture (more on that later). The fans have rubber mounting points and a hydraulic bearings. Both reducing operating noise and improving efficiency.

The custom blades allow light to “seep” through adding to the effect that the fans provide. This translucent frosted texture allows for some light to travel through the blades, creating a unique look. Most fans have opaque blades that do not allow light to travel through. These blades allow light to “bounce” off.

The case fans do not feature a specific upHere software to control the fans. You need the included controller and hub. The upHere fans will not plug directly into the motherboard which can be either positive or negative depending on your setup. In my experience, I had no issues because I was almost out of fan and RGB headers on my motherboard (Asus Z270E Strix Gaming).

The included controller was easy enough to use and came preloaded with several lighting effects. You can make your fans solid colors, flash, glow, and many others.
The specs of the upHere RGB fans are as follows:
- Fan speed: 1100RPM (+/- 10%)
- Decibel level: 17.6 dBA
- Input power: 6.36 watts
- Expected life: 40,000 hours
- Size: 120mm x 120m x 25mm
Performance
The upHere RGB series case fan performs extremely well for the price. They are reasonably quiet under load operation. The LEDs are very bright and provide awesome spot lighting. The fan blades have a slight “cheap” feeling to them, but they don’t look cheap. However, I don’t foresee any issues with longevity. They move large quantities of air and cool my PC well.
How to Install upHere RGB Fans
The fans come with everything that you need for smooth operation. The included controller and hub are easy to mount inside your chassis. This upHere kit includes 3 RGB fans, but there is also a 6 fan kit.

Hiding the wiring (cable management) in my Thermaltake View 31 RGB was simple due to the long cables provided. upHere also includes 12 installation screws to mount your new RGB case fans. These are 120mm fans and are easily used in 360mm or 240mm radiators.
Besides mounting the fans, the only other required installation is plugging the fans into the included hub. Then you just need to attach the hub to power through a SATA connector.
upHere 120mm Rainbow Case Fan

UPDATE: upHere has come out with a new 120mm case fan (F03CF). These dynamic rainbow LED fans are upgraded with higher quality LED lights.
Features

The only downside to these fans, is that they do not come with a fan controller. You will need to power them with molex or a 3-pin motherboard header. But, if you do want to control them, you will need to purchase one of the controllable upHere RGB fans.
The F03CF rainbow fans have a long 40,000 hour life expectancy. They also have 11 fan blades for a powerful cooling effect. In addition, they have a water resistant hydraulic bearing that helps keep the RGB fans silent.
