The Razer DeathAdder V2 is one of the top gaming mice on the market. It has several unique features along with more common ones like RGB lighting. We’ll be going over the features and performance of the DeathAdder and how it compares to the Logitech G502.

Starting with features, the Razer DeathAdder V2 comes in two styles; wired and wireless. However, we’ll only be covering the wired version (mostly because the wireless version isn’t very different).
The DeathAdder comes with a 20K DPI optical sensor which provides basically more performance than any gamer should ever need. The sensor can automatically calibrate based on different mouse mats, lift-off distance, and precision drivers.
Additionally, it uses Razer’s custom optical mouse switch which provides an excellent amount of lifespan. The switches are 3 times faster than traditional mechanical switches.
Razer also uses their own Chroma RGB lighting to power the 16.8 million colors that you can completely customize. They will sync up with other Razer products via Razer Synapse 3 and Philips Hue products as well.
Finally, there are 8 programmable buttons that allow complete remapping and customization via Razer’s software. You can also set up complex macro functionality. The drag-free Razer Speedflex cable stops any snags or drags caused by traditional braided mouse cables.
Performance
As far as performance is concerned the Razer DeathAdder V2 Gaming Mouse is one of the top performers you can buy. It has an extremely accurate, powerful and speedy sensor that will be plenty 99% of gamers. Additionally, Razer one of the leaders in RGB lighting technology and uses their sweet of Chroma lighting effectively.
The mouse is a very mid-weight mouse (82g) that doesn’t have any adjustable weight. It also has a pretty large footprint when held in the hand. Outer material of the mouse is made from a high-quality durable feeling plastic and, the side’s have premium rubberized grips. When it comes to features, the Logitech G502 HERO is filled with them. In some cases, even more so than the Razer DeathAdder.
Firstly, the G502 uses a Hero 25K Sensor that provides over 25,000 DPI sensitivity. This is huge compared to Razer’s 20K sensor. However, most players probably won’t even notice that high of a DPI difference. It also features zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration.
There is 11 customizable buttons compared to the DeathAdder’s 8 and each button can be completely changed depending on what the user wants. You can also create macro’s that can be added either to the mouse’s onboard memory or to the Logitech G-HUB software. Additionally, there is up to 3.6 grams of adjustable weight that can be used to fine-tune and balance the mouse to your liking.
In addition, Logitech has their own RGB lighting and Lightsync technology. This allows you to sync lighting to other Logitech peripherals with RGB and gives you customizable access to 16.8 million different colors.
Finally, Logitech uses a mechanical switch for their mouse clicks. While Razer used their own optical switches, Logitech choose to go with a more traditional setup. While this isn’t necessarily a negative, it does mean that Razer beats them out on this end. However, this does mean that you can rapid feedback and click response.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the Logitech G502 Hero does not disappoint. With an extremely fast sensor, adjustable weighting system, and customizable everything, the G502 puts up a tremendous fight versus the DeathAdder.
The whole outer shell of the G502 is made from a super high quality feeling plastic. It feels like it has non-slip qualities built into the actual material. In addition, the edges and wherever your hand rests has rubberized textures to help you from slipping off in gaming situations.
Additionally, the buttons are all placed so that you get the maximum performance when your hand is on the mouse. It also makes it easier to find the position if you loose it somehow.
One of the coolest features that the DeathAdder doesn’t offer is the indicator LED’s on the left-hand side of the mouse. The indicators show you which profile you’re on. If you’re like me and change profiles depending on what game you’re playing, then you will be very grateful for this feature.

Razer DeathAdder vs Logitech G502: Which One to Buy?
When it comes down to it the Razer DeathAdder vs Logitech G502, which one should you buy? If you’re a gamer who likes to switch profiles, the ability to have onboard mice storage or the highest DPI possible, then the G502 is probably for you. But, if you’re a gamer who likes the compatibility of Razer products, a high-quality updated feel, and the Razer branding then the DeathAdder might be the choice.
Quite honestly, I have personally owned both of these mice and actually use them both on a daily basis. If I had to choose just one mouse for daily use, I’d probably choose the DeathAdder. Why? Because it was literally my first gaming mouse back in 2012, and I have been using a version of the DeathAdder ever since.
Final Thoughts
The Razer DeathAdder has one of the most impressive legacies in the gaming community. It is easily one of the best and original gaming mice. But, the G502 is right up there as one of Logitech’s first to market.
In conclusion however, when it comes down to the Logitech G502 vs Razer DeathAdder, I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these mice. They are both very very very good. There isn’t a whole lot of differences when you come down to it. And, either way you’re going to be a very impressive gaming mouse.
