Onkyo HT-S3910 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System Review
The Onkyo HT-S3910 5.1 Surround Sound System Review is possible due to affiliates and readers, thank you!
When it comes to surround sound, one of the biggest turn-offs for a lot of people is the complications. Complications can come from several sources when it comes to a custom home theater setup.
However, Onkyo might have the solution with the HT-S3910 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System. This all-inclusive home theater system from Onkyo includes everything you need to create your own setup (easily).
The biggest feature of this system is that it comes with everything you need and even amateur home theater builders should be able to put it together!
Features
Starting off with the Onkyo HT-S3910 Surround Sound System’s main features. Firstly, this is a complete Onkyo package, meaning that it includes a home theater receiver, 4 surround speakers, 1 center channel speaker and 1 subwoofer. All of these parts are meant to work together so you shouldn’t have any trouble with compatibility.
Next, this is a 5.1 surround sound speaker system. This means that there is 2 full-range front speakers, 2 side/rear-speakers, 1 center-channel speaker and 1 subwoofer. Each speaker works with the others to help create a meaningful and powerful sound experience.

Additionally, the Onkyo receiver that is included comes with Bluetooth compatibility, DTS playback, Dolby Atmos mapping, and HDR support. This unit can support up to Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization (5.2.2-ch), HDR10, and 4K 60FPS video playback. Along with a discrete high-current amp system with up to 4-Ohm driver capability. And, it supports up to 155 watts per channel (775 watts total).
While this might seem like a lot, this system has the capability of supporting several high-end production standards for several years to come. In addition, it works as a pretty awesome stereo (music player), and entertainment system.
Build Quality
When it comes to build quality, Onkyo is one of the those companies that really thrives on a high-end premium build. The materials used feel premium and the actual speaker housings are made from high-quality wooden materials.

Additionally, the included receiver has several inputs and supports a lot of additional equipment (if needed). Finally, the subwoofer is a solid-feeling unit that really can deliver a punch. However, it is not a powered unit which we felt you could add separately if preferred.
There is also a solid remote included that you can use to control pretty much any setting on the receiver. This is a very welcomed accessory because a lot of systems include very cheap-feeling remotes.
Performance
As far is performance is concerned, the Onkyo HT-S3910 is a very good unit for it’s price. While it isn’t considered a “high-end” price, it does have a pretty powerful sound signature.

When listening to 5.1 surround sound movies or TV shows, you can really hear the side speakers kick in and add a lot of depth to the sound. Testing using Dolby’s suite of test footage, we were able to decipher many individual details that you wouldn’t be able to hear normally.
Although the bass seemed to lack without a powered subwoofer, most users probably won’t miss it. If you’re looking for more bass, you can add a powered unit like this one! Which is one of the coolest features, is that you can upgrade or swap out different parts as necessary.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a good 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System that won’t break the bank, then the Onyko HT-S3910 might be the option for you. It is a very powerful and versatile unit that provides a lot of value especially when you consider the price.
While it might not have as much punch as some of the more expensive systems, you definitely will elevate your sound experience. If you’re coming from TV speakers or even a soundbar, you should experience a dramatic increase in listening enjoyment (especially with 5.1 mastered movies and TV shows).
So, in conclusion, if have been considering this system then I personally would absolutely go for it. It is perfect for those who need a smaller system, are looking in this price range, or just don’t want anything that is too extreme!

Was wondering if the satellite speakers are pre wired, as I have just completed my man cave and have ran speaker wire for the front and rear !
They are not! You can use your existing speaker wire.
