Harman Kardon 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speakers Review
The Harman Kardon 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speakers Review is possible due to affiliates and readers, thank you!
When it comes to speakers, Harman Kardon is a brand that dominates the field. They have some of the best sounding, best built consumer speakers on the market. And, the HKTS 9 is no exception.
Why? Well, in this review we’re going to be taking a look at the HKTS 9 and specifically looking at features, performance and build.
Additionally, we’ll be giving you thoughts on whether or not you should purchase this system. And, how comparable systems stack up!
Features
Starting off with the features of the Harman Kardon 5.1 Home Theater Speaker System. Firstly, there are five voice-matched 120W satellite speakers. They each have 3-inch midrange drivers along with a 0.5-inch tweeter. In addition, Harman Kardon gives you a 200W down-firing subwoofer. This 8-inch woofer packs a punch when it comes to low-frequency realism.
Along with the satellite speakers (front left/right, rear left/right, and center) they include wall-mount brackets for each of them. This is a nice inclusion, especially on a product in this price range. They also include color-coded speaker wire for each of the speakers (2×40′).
Build Quality
As far as build quality is concerned, there is no corners cut with this system. Harman Kardon has a high reputation when it comes to build quality and they definitely keep their standard here.
The HKTS 9 speakers each have high-quality boxes built around them with high-grade cone woofers. Additionally, the subwoofer enclosure is rigid and seems like it will stand the test of time.
Performance
When it comes to performance, there isn’t any shortcuts here as well. Harman Kardon delivers a strong, powerful performance that, when paired with the right receiver, will out perform a lot of similar systems.
For our Harman Kardon 5.1 Speaker System, we paired it with a Pyle amplifier (Pyle PT694BT). It provided plenty of wattage for the entire system and easily was able to drive the powerful subwoofer.
Highs are crisp with mids being clearly distinguished from other frequencies. Voices are come through extremely well and aren’t blended into the background noise. Bass response is incredibly punchy without being overbearing.
Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Harman Kardon 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System is an awesome value for the money. It is easily upgradable to 7.1-channel in the future and should last you for several years, if not life. We highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the market for a home theater system.
