Glorious Aura Keycaps Review
In the Glorious Aura Keycaps Review we’ll be taking a look at the features, performance and value of the set. In addition, we’ll give you our recommendation on if the Aura Keycaps are worth buying for your mechanical gaming keyboard!
Why would you want to add some new keycaps to your keyboard? Well, at first glance, you might love your new mechanical keyboard. However, over-time, your keycaps might wear out or you might want to try a different color scheme. In that case, adding a new set of keycaps can help revitalize an old keyboard, match your existing gaming setup or just add a fresh pop of color.
With our Aura Keycap set, we tested it with the AUKEY RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, so if you want the same setup there it is!
What Are Pudding Keycaps?
Pudding keycaps (or pudding caps) are keyboard keycaps that have a translucent portion to allow light to shine through. Often, pudding caps are put on RGB keyboards so that you can see a wide variety of effects show through.
Glorious Aura Keycaps (Black/White)

Starting off the Aura Keycaps come in either a Black or White variant. Both look extremely good on various different types of keyboards, and even combining them is awesome!

Glorious PC Gaming Race (read more) is a company that really puts attention to detail in their products, and the Aura line is no exception. We’ve already reviewed some of their other products like the Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard, been extremely impressed. And, a little preview, these keycaps are also extremely impressive.
Features
Starting off with the features, this is a full size 104 key set. It can also be used for tenkeyless (87), 75% or 60% keyboard layouts. The keys are made from PBT plastic with double shot legends. This means that they should never wear out and you can always expect a high-quality feel.

In addition, the keycaps are made to support RGB or LED lighting. They have transparent legends and sides to allow for as much light to pass through as possible. With a very brightly lit keyboard (like the Razer BlackWidow), you’ll have an awesome RGB lighting experience!

Next, Glorious includes their special “ASCEND ESC key” which is basically just a red ESC key with a special logo on it.
Finally, the keycaps are compatible with pretty much any Cherry-MX style switch, carry a standard OEM profile and can also be used with stabilizer stems.
Performance
As far as performance is concerned, the Glorious Aura Keycaps are incredible. They have an awesome grippy feel without being too rough. Additionally, they let light show through perfectly with a good amount of diffusion.

When using with both our Razer BlackWidow keyboard and Glorious GMMK keyboard, we had a great experience. The keycaps are extremely easy to install and Glorious includes a keycap puller. This makes it very easy to swap out switches pretty much whenever you want.
The one downside we found to using these keycaps is that you will loose out on your “function prints” if you have function keys. For example, on our AUKEY keyboard, there is specific function press keys to adjust RGB lighting. So, when replacing the caps, you don’t see which keys are the specific function keys. However, most people have their main keys memorized, so it’s not a huge deal!
Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Glorious Aura Keycaps for Mechanical Keyboards are an awesome set of pudding caps. If you have an RGB LED powered keyboard, then these caps will definitely provide a boost in aesthetics over the stock caps.
One of the best features about the Aura caps is that they are extremely inexpensive. For a fairly low price you are able to get a massive upgrade over your standard keyboard caps. If you have been considering a set of after-market pudding keycaps, then these are definitely worth trying out!
