Fifine K669B USB Microphone Features
Starting off with the features of the Fifine K669B USB Microphone. Firstly, this is a plug and play microphone.
Meaning that you just plug it into your computer via USB and you’re ready to go. There are no additional drivers or software needed, which makes setup very fast and easy.
The USB cable included is almost 6 feet long, so you should have enough room for pretty much any setup. Additionally, the microphone itself is made from solid metal construction. It seems very sturdy and feels like a quality build.
Fifine also includes a tripod stand that allows you to set up the K669B without any additional hardware. However, we would recommend getting a boom arm or some sort of shock mount to help increase audio quality. The included stand does work well though.
On the front of the microphone is a volume (gain) knob that helps increase sensitivity. This allows you to on-the-fly adjust volume so that you can always be heard in situations like Skype, gaming, voice recording or voice chatting.
In addition, the Fifine K669B microphone is powered completely by USB. This means that you don’t need any other additional power supplies or cables to work it. It all travels over one cable.
Finally, the microphone is standard setup with a cardioid polar pattern. This means that it will capture your voice in front of the microphone, compared to an omni-directional setup. Cardioid patterns help isolate sounds coming from in front of the microphone when doing voice recordings or streaming.
Performance
So, how does the Fifine USB Microphone perform? Is it any good?
Well, we compared it to our standard mic, the Blue Yeti Nano. And, in comparison, the Fifine K669B sounds as equally good, if not better. We were absolutely blown away by the performance of this microphone.
It sounds incredibly clear with great highs and bass reproduction. There isn’t a lot of microphones under $50 that can really provide the experience that this microphone does.
It is great for streaming, YouTubers, podcast recording and other content creation. We didn’t adjust any of the audio that was recorded by the microphone and it sounded incredibly on it’s own.
The biggest con/downside we found, is that the stand itself is pretty plastic. It does it’s job, however we would recommend getting a boom arm or some sort of shock mount. But, other than that the microphone is all metal construction and feels very good to the touch.
Finally, the microphone comes in both black and pink (red) so that you can match any color setup.
Final Verdict
So, what’s the final verdict on the Fifine K669B USB Microphone? If you couldn’t tell, we’ve said it a few times now, but we love this microphone!
It held up extremely well in testing and really impressed us. For a casual gamer, streamer or YouTuber, you won’t be disappointed with this USB condenser mic.
