darkFlash Phantom Black ATX Mid-Tower Desktop Computer Gaming Case

The darkFlash Phantom is a ATX Mid-Tower desktop computer gaming case. This custom gaming case is one of the best priced and best valued chassis out there. We will be doing a full review of the darkFlash Phantom along with checking out it’s best features, going over how it preformed, and what kind of RGB lighting it supports!

Starting with the darkFlash Phantom ATX Mid-Tower’s design. The darkFlash Phantom features a tempered glass design with three high-quality 4mm thick panels. These panels cover the front and two sides of the case. Not only do these tempered glass pieces look great, but they help keep the Phantom Black as quiet as possible.

Additionally, the darkFlash Phantom Black ATX Mid-Tower has an efficient cooling solution. Included are 6 pre-installed RGB fans. There are 4 RGB LED fans in the front and 2 RGB LED fans in the rear. This helps provide cool quiet performance. The included darkFlash RGB LED fans are 120mm and feature addressable RGB. You can purchase these fans separately as a 120mm kit or 140mm kit. The included darkFlash fans do preform well in our tests, but you can replace them if desired with more premium fans.

In addition to included RGB fans, the darkFlash ATX Mid-Tower desktop computer case has a lot of internal space. It has space for up to a 280mm radiator in the front, 280mm on top or 120mm radiator in the rear. The maximum GPU or PCI card length is 359mm and the maximum CPU cooler height is 174mm. There are 7 expansion slots and the darkFlash Phantom will support a PSU up to 160mm. The case dimensions are 16.5″ x 8.7″ x 21.7″.

The darkFlash Phantom ATX Mid-Tower front I/O supports up to 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, Audio In/Out, Reset and RGB fan control. In addition, the case has several magnetic dust filters, to help keep out debris.

MUSETEX Phantom Black Mid-Tower Desktop Computer Gaming Case

The MUSETEX Phantom is a ATX Mid-Tower computer desktop gaming case designed to compete directly with the darkFlash Phantom. Similar to the darkFlash Phantom desktop gaming case, the MUSETEX Phantom delivers phenomenal value and features. We will be reviewing the best features, going over MUSETEX’s RGB lighting and how well it stacks up against the darkFlash Phantom.

The MUSETEX Phantom Black ATX Mid-Tower Desktop Computer Gaming Case is one of the main competitors of the darkFlash Phantom. It features a very similar design with RGB fans included. But, the MUSETEX Phantom Black does have some features that separate it.

Firstly, the design of the MUSETEX ATX Mid-Tower case features 2 tempered glass panels. These 2 panels are on the front and main side of the gaming case. They are 4mm thick and clear for full viewing. This can be considered a down-side or up-side depending on the look you’re trying to achieve. The biggest difference in design is the unique front fan grills and it has 1 less tempered glass piece compared to the darkFlash Phantom.

In addition, the MUSETEX desktop gaming case features 6 RGB LED fans. These fans are pre-installed in the following locations: 1 in the rear, 2 on the top, 3 in the front. You can also purchase the MUSETEX Phantom with only 4 included RGB fans for about $30 cheaper. Although, the included RGB fans do preform quite well!

The MUSETEX 903-D6 can support up to a 160mm high CPU cooler, and 200mm PSU. It features 7 expansion slots. In addition, it has support for a 360mm/280mm/240mm front radiator or 280mm/240mm top radiator. It also features magnetic dust filters and adjustable RGB lighting.

Final Thoughts: Which Should You Buy?

So, the darkFlash Phantom Black ATX Mid-Tower Desktop Computer Gaming Case versus the MUSETEX Phantom Black ATX Mid-Tower Desktop Computer Gaming Case, which one should you purchase if you’re building a custom gaming computer?

Quite honestly, I think it is up to personal preference for this one. I do prefer the darkFlash Phantom’s style compared to the MUSETEX Phantom.

Both desktop computer gaming cases did not have sharp edges or any real issues with build quality. In addition, they both were packaged well and included plenty of mounting accessories (stand-offs, screws, cables).

Additionally, they both had premium features and delivered on mostly every front. I used a 240mm Corsair all-in-one liquid cooler and was able to mount it easily. The cases provided adequate airflow and cooling and I saw no foreseeable quality issues.

Finally, both of the cases featured RGB LED case fans that provided awesome effects and adequate cooling. I think that both the darkFlash Phantom Black and MUSETEX Phantom 903-D6 are great options for first time PC builders or anyone looking for a great value!
