Today in the CVCBSER FX Dueling Lightsaber Review, we’ll be taking a look at this value-oriented lightsaber and how it stacks up against the competition.
When it comes to lightsabers, there is a plethora of options. RGB LED lighting has become very prominent in kid’s toys as well as adult cosplay props. Today you can find a range of realistic lightsabers. Whether you’re using them as props or dueling, they are significantly improved over the lightsabers of the past.
You can get a rather expensive one ($400-500 range) or a cheaper one (under $150). However, today we’ll be looking at the CVCBSER FX Lightsaber. This is a mid-range, budget oriented saber that has a lot of positive reviews.
Does it stack up well against the competition? Should you buy it?
Hopefully, we’ll answer all of your questions!
Starting off this review with the features of the CVCBSER FX Lightsaber. It has a multitude of RGB lighting actions. It can change between 12 different colored blades. Additionally, there are 9 different sound effects that you can switch between.
You can adjust the volume of the sound effects from high to low, or mute it completely. When it comes to the LED blade you can have it in full lighting mode, flame mode, breathing mode, heartbeat mode, flashing mode, or sword fighting mode. Additionally, you can independently adjust the brightness of the LED’s.
There are multifunction buttons built right into the handle so you can easily change between colors, sounds or adjust settings.
As far as build quality is concerned, the CVCBSER Lightsaber is built very well. The hilt is made of a premium aluminum material that is painted black (shown below with silver color). It seems strong enough to handle abuse from kids or any dueling that you would be doing.
The blade itself is made from a high-impact rated PC material. It is 92-cm long with a 1-inch outer diameter and 2-mm wall thickness. This means that it can support heavy saber dueling, or pretty significant abuse from kids. Additionally, you can unscrew the top of the blade and connect another blade to make it longer!
Included in the box is the blade/hilt itself, a charger, Allen wrench to open it up, and some other accessories to change out! You do have to put it together, while it can be a challenge for kids, most adults shouldn’t have issue.
When it comes to performance, the CVCBSER FX Dueling Lightsaber is great! It performs exactly as expected, and even better in some cases.
The motion and sound effects are incredibly realistic and really add a lot to the value. When dueling, you shouldn’t have any issues with bending of the blade itself. You control everything through a single button which can have a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out it’s awesome!
For a cosplay prop, this lightsaber works extremely well. It looks really realistic and the option to switch between colors really makes it a versatile purchase!
In conclusion, the CVCBSER FX Dueling Lightsaber is an awesome value for the price. It has a premium build with a really great performance aspect. When looking at more expensive sabers it holds it’s own and really provides a great value.
