Let’s get into it!
Features
Starting off with the features of the MasterFan MF120 Halo RGB Fans!
They come equipped with duo-ring addressable RGB LED’s that completely surround the fan blades. These halo rings have 24 ARGB’s that can all be individually adjusted. In addition, the center blades have ARGB LED’s that are controllable as well!

Aside from LED technology, Cooler Master uses engineering to create hybrid static pressure blade. This allows you to use these fans to overcome resistance with CPU liquid coolers, low-noise situations or mesh chassis vents for higher overall airflow.

You also get PWM fan control. PWM or pulse width modulation, allows you to dynamically control the fans speed. You can do this manually or allow your motherboard to do it with it’s own fan curve settings. Adjustments can be made from 650 RPM to 1800 RPM, either minimizing noise or maximizing airflow (depending on what you need).
The ARGB and PWM is compatible with motherboard sync softwares such as Aura Mystic Light or Asus AURA. Or, if you don’t want to use your motherboard’s software, there is an included controller for easy access and adjustment.
Build Quality
When it comes to build quality, Cooler Master has a pretty high reputation. And, the MasterFan MF120 fans are no exception!

The plastics feel high quality, and blades are sturdy. You get rubber mounts to minimize vibration and noise. And, the composites used are directly engineered to reduce vibration and improve performance.
Performance
As far as performance goes, the Cooler Master MasterFan MF120’s perform exceptionally well. They perform great in the looks department as well as the airflow and cooling department.
The MF120’s have good airflow and can easily be used for static pressure. For example, we have them in our Corsair H110i AIO Liquid Cooler. They easily kept our i7-7700k cool under loads and during gaming.

In addition, having the ability to easily adjust the RGB lighting and PWM fan curves gives you that extra bit of customization. This level of customization is often not found with other more budget RGB fans. You can easily change RGB lighting on the fly and have it sync with the rest of your setup.
Finally, the MF120 Halo’s provide an awesome unique look for your gaming system. Using the RGB rainbow to it’s fullest effect is an great way to stand out from your friends!
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, the Cooler Master MF120 Fans are awesome 120mm or 140mm ARGB PC gaming fans. They provide excellent value when it comes to ARGB lighting, static performance, and a unique look for your system.
They’re also cheaper than comparable fans from Corsair or Thermaltake, and you still get PWM control!
So, if you’re in the market for new PC gaming fans, then we highly recommend trying out these MasterFans!
